Personal Effectiveness Programme

Scope

For all levels from boardroom to shop-floor, this spaced-learning Programme develops the ‘soft’ skills required to make technical capabilities more productive, particularly leadership skills, effective communication, presentation skills, conflict management, coaching, relationship building and results focus.

Entry Qualifications: 

  1. Have   documented  their own  performance improvement goals and measures.
  2. Have discussed and agreed performance improvement goals with their Internal Coach.

Mentor will facilitate both of the above.

Outcomes:

More confident, assertive and flexible individuals who communicate well with all levels and in all situations, both formal and informal.  Measurably better relationship building and problem solving skills with the ability to generate a more positive attitude themselves and within others, more of the time and gain the willing co-operation of others through strong, influencing skills.

Logistics:

  1. 8 weeks’ duration.  One ‘formal’ session per week in the evenings, usually at a public venue.  Each session is approximately 3¼  hours’ duration.
  2. 2 one-to-one Evaluation and Coaching sessions (at your place of work), with yourself and feedback to your Line Manager.

Graduation Conditions:

  1. At least 7 of 8 formal sessions plus 1 individual coaching session attended.
  2. Midpoint evaluation discussion has taken place between the Internal Coach (line-manager) and the Mentor External Coach.
  3. Demonstration of progress with documented goals to both their Internal Coach and to their Mentor External Coach.

Five Creative Thinking and  Problem Solving in Teams  How to direct your team to successful problem solving and decision making.Increase your Instructional Skill   How to pass information on to other people by making your instructions clear and avoiding confusion.
Six Developing Influencing Skills  Develop skill in ‘selling’ ideas to people, answering tough questions and influencing others.Dealing Effectively with Complaints  Develop confidence in dealing with complaints and objections for win-win outcomes.
Seven Thinking on your Feet  Develop skill and confidence with practical ways to cope with the pressure of being ‘put on the spot’ in any situation.Manage Stress, Worry and Tension Think constructively. Solve personal and business problems.Manage stress and tension.
Eight Taking results to a Higher Level   Set new goals and decide how you will move to a higher level of achievement. Prepare for the next step in your coaching programme.Communication Expertise  Demonstrate your skills by speaking to a larger audience in the prepared Speaking Championship.
