results centred leadership programme

Scope

A spaced-learning programme for Business Owners and Business Leaders, Executives and Managers who have responsibility for the strategic planning and growth of their business and/or the performance management, supervision and coaching of other Managers / Supervisors.

Entry Qualifications: 

  1. Document your own performance improvement goals and measures.
  2. Discuss and agree your performance improvement goals with your Internal Coach (line manager)
  3. Be free to implement changes to work procedures in between formal sessions.

Outcomes:

Leaders who are measurably better focused, more results orientated, better organised and capable of making breakthrough change in more effective performance management.

Logistics:

  1. Six weeks duration. One ‘formal’ session per week in the evenings, usually at a public venue. Each session is approximately 3½ hours’ duration.
  2. Two one-to-one Evaluation and Coaching sessions with yourself and feedback to your Internal Coach.

Graduation Conditions:

A diploma will be awarded at the end of the Programme provided the following conditions have been met:

  1. At least five of six formal sessions and two coaching sessions attended.
  2. Demonstration of progress at work observed by both your Internal Coach and the Mentor Instruction Team.
  3. Satisfactory completion of 4 written projects showing that progress has been made. Written projects to be deemed acceptable and implementable by both the Mentor Instruction Team and the participant’s Internal Coach, who must ’sign-off’ all projects.

Innovation and Creativity      Team building and brainstorming at work.  How to tap into the creative potential of your team.  Planning for Success “Begin with the end in mind” (Stephen Covey) –     Clarify your direction in a Personal Plan.  Run a creativity session at  work. Cost reduction/new profit generation application. First draft of Personal Plan.

Organising the Business for Results A technique for becoming more results orientated  and less activity engrossed. Organising Yourself  Obtaining better use of time and establishing priorities.  First draft of Job Results Definition. Priorities / time management application.    
  

 Three

  

Empowerment  How to delegate responsibility in an empowering way. Coaching Teams for Success Maintaining control through coaching rather than policing. Practical use of delegation to empower your team.Coaching exercise to gain accountability without having to use policing tactics. 

Individual Coaching Review

 

  Four

Problem Solving in Teams  A simple approach to making better decisions. Investing in People: Getting buy-in Obtaining your team’s commitment to their own development in business as a means of achieving the company’s goals.  Using problem solving  techniques at work.Additional coaching application. How to get accountability.

Motivation Investigation into what turns associates on and what turns them off. Project Coaching   Individual coaching and review of programme applications.   Motivation survey at work. Finalise all written projects. 
 

    Six

Investing in People:  Performance Appraisal    How to appraise performance effectively and assess training needs without it being a chore. 

Breakthrough Review: Review of progress already made and plans for the   immediate future with first steps.    

Conduct a Performance Appraisal interview at work.

Evaluate progress and plan further development 

Individual Final Coaching Review

 

 

NB. Although this Programme involves 4 written projects, no more than approximately 4 hours should be spent on their preparation. The Results Centred Leadership Programme is a practical, life speed, skills based Programme where personal Breakthrough progress is made through practical application of the concepts.
